The owners did not want to take on a significant renovation or invest heavily before selling, so the upgrade had to come out of relatively small interventions.

Lighting was the problem, and lighting was also the solution. New fixtures, larger and more sculptural than what was there, reset the scale of the rooms. Drapery softened and warmed them, and a modern furniture layout gave the space a clearer sense of how it could be lived in.

One inexpensive IKEA chandelier ended up as a focal point of the listing photography.

The terrace was a real lifestyle feature, so it was zoned deliberately to show dining, lounging, gardening and city living, with the skyline in the background.
